Regular Season Round 3: Sancti Spiritus - Capitalinas 67-55

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Capitalinas (2-1) on the court of Sancti Spiritus on Thursday night. Visitors were defeated by Sancti Spiritus 67-55. The game was mostly controlled by Sancti Spiritus. Capitalinas managed to win third quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Capitalinas 26-14. It was a great evening for international forward Francy Ochoa (185-90) who led her team to a victory scoring 19 points and 9 rebounds. Yoana Fernandez (174-91) helped adding 19 points and 5 steals. Four Sancti Spiritus players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Neidys Fernandez (174-95) with 8 points and the former international Lisdeyvis Martinez (175-89) scored 7 points. Capitalinas' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Sancti Spiritus are looking forward to face Guantanamo (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Capitalinas will play against Pinar in Rio and are hoping to win this game.
