Regular Season Round 15: ToPo - Pyrinto II 67-52

Very predictable result when fourth ranked ToPo (10-7) won against 10th ranked Pyrinto II (4-13) in Helsinki 67-52 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by ToPo. Pyrinto II was better in third quarter 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. ToPo dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Pyrinto II's 20. ToPo forced 21 Pyrinto II turnovers and outrebounded them 43-29 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for forward Cedric Latimer (198-87, college: St.Francis, PA) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Miki Kuusisto (194-94) contributed with 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American forward Terrell Vinson (201-90, college: Massachusetts, agency: HMS) answered with 15 points and 6 rebounds and forward Tuomas Sukanen (198-91) added 7 points and 5 assists in the effort for Pyrinto II. ToPo moved-up to third place in Division. Loser Pyrinto II keeps the tenth position with 13 games lost. ToPo will face league's second-placed Espoo United at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Pyrinto II will play against the league's leader Lahti (#1) and hope to win that game.
