Fourth-ranked Louaize (5-5) gave a tough game to first ranked Homenetmen (9-1) in Beirut. Homenetmen managed to secure only three-point victory 86-83. However their fans expected easier game. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Louaize won third quarter 26-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The former international swingman Fadi Khatib (198-79) notched 25 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and American forward Dewayne Jackson (203-90, college: Morgan St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) supported him with 27 points and 4 steals. Even 19 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals by international guard Geron Johnson (190-92, college: Memphis) did not help to save the game for Louaize. American Travis McKie (201-92, college: Wake Forest, agency: Diamond Sports) added 21 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Homenetmen maintains first position with 9-1 record. Louaize lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with five games lost. They share the position with Tadamon and Moutahed. Homenetmen will play against Tadamon (#4) in Zouk in the next round. Louaize will play at home against Champville and hopes to get back on the winning track.
