Regular Season Round 15: FoKoPo - HBA-Marsky 101-89

Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked HBA-Marsky (5-12) lost on the road to eighth ranked Forssan Koripojat (7-11) 101-89 on Thursday. The game without a history. Forssan Koripojat led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Forssan Koripojat looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. HBA-Marsky was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American swingman Roderick Flemings (203-87, college: Hawaii) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). His fellow American import forward Bruce Reed (202-90, college: Pikeville) contributed with 25 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 7 steals for the winners. Reed is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Point guard Edon Maxhuni (186-98) answered with 30 points and 7 assists and forward Elias Valtonen (197-99) added 12 points and 4 assists in the effort for HBA-Marsky. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. HBA-Marsky's coach Antti Koskelainen tested twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Forssan Koripojat maintains eighth place in Division with 7-11 record. Loser HBA-Marsky dropped to the ninth position with 12 games lost. Forssan Koripojat will face higher ranked Jarvenpaa (#6) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
