Date: January 20, 2017
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of NSH GMC (0-1) on Friday night. They were rolled over by Pacific Caesar (1-0) 96-75. The game was mostly controlled by Pacific Caesar. NSH GMC managed to win third quarter 21-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Pacific Caesar forced 22 NSH GMC turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard David Seagers (188-88, college: Dowling) who helped to win the game recording 32 points and 5 rebounds. Canadian forward Kevin Loiselle (198-88) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Nate Barfield (206-88, college: Langston) answered with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import point guard Gary Jacobs (188-92, college: Cent.Washington) added 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for NSH GMC. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pacific Caesar is looking forward to face Hang Tuah (#5) in Pandang in the next round. NSH GMC will play on the road against Aspac (#1) in Jakarta and is hoping to win this game.
