Second Stage Round 7: RTU - Limbazi 77-96

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked RTU's (3-10) home loss to eighth ranked Limbazi (5-7) 77-96 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Limbazi. RTU was better in fourth quarter 27-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Limbazi had a 33-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Point guard Armands Osins (190-91) fired 14 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Forward Rolands Brencs (198-86) chipped in 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Limbazi players scored in double figures. Swingman Lauris Berzins (192-97) produced 16 points and 7 rebounds and guard Eduards Grabovskis (188-94) added 11 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Limbazi maintains eighth place with 5-7 record. RTU lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
