Regular Season Round 14: Tartu Ulikool - Parnu 88-69
Date: January 20, 2017
Leader TU/Rock recorded the twelfth victory. This time they crushed 5th ranked Parnu (8-7) 88-69 in Tartu. The game was mostly controlled by TU/Rock. Parnu was better in second period 20-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Lithuanian center Dominykas Milka (203-92, college: St.Rose, NY) notched 20 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and American guard Mandell Thomas (188-93, college: Fordham) supported him with 16 points and 6 assists. TU/Rock's coach Gert Kullamae allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds by Croatian center Domagoj Bubalo (212-91) did not help to save the game for Parnu. The former international power forward Reinar Hallik (208-84) added 15 points for the guests. Four TU/Rock and five Parnu players scored in double figures. TU/Rock have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 12-2 record. Parnu at the other side dropped to the fourth place with seven games lost. TU/Rock's next round opponent will be TTU (#5) in Tallinn. Parnu will play at home against the league's second-placed Kalev/Cramo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
