Regular Season Round 15: Bourg - Boulogne 67-65

Sixteenth-ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (4-11) gave a tough game to second ranked JL Bourg (11-4) on Friday. JL Bourg managed to secure only two-point victory 67-65. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 17-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. JL Bourg forced 23 SO Maritime Boulogne turnovers. It was a great evening for American center Zachery Peacock (203-87, college: Georgia Tech) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 7 rebounds. Meredis Houmounou (188-88) helped adding 9 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. JL Bourg's coach Savo Vucevic used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Cuban power forward Grismay Paumier (204-88) with 13 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Teddy Gipson (191-80, college: Arkansas, agency: Court Side) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. JL Bourg have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain second place with 11-4 record having just two points less than leader Provence Basket, which they share with Charleville. SO Maritime Boulogne at the other side dropped to the seventeenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with St Chamond. JL Bourg is looking forward to face league's leader Provence Basket in Fos-sur-Mer in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. SO Maritime Boulogne will play at home against Charleville-Mezieres (#3) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
