Regular Season Round 20: Sudety - Gimbasket WRC 82-56

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Sudety (13-5) outplayed 6th ranked Gimbasket WRC (9-10) in Jelenia Gora 82-56 on Saturday. Sudety dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Gimbasket WRC's 18. They outrebounded Gimbasket WRC 45-33 including a 36-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Power forward Pawel Minciel (203-88) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Lukasz Niesobski (185-85) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Guard Michal Kamberski (188-96) replied with 26 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Luka Malachow (184-94) added 13 points and 4 assists in the effort for Gimbasket WRC. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sudety have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position in Group D with 13-5 record having four points less than leader R8 Basket Krk. Gimbasket WRC lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with ten games lost. Sudety will face WKK Wroclaw (#9) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Gimbasket WRC will play against Kalisz and hope to win that game.
