Regular Season Round 14: Aulnoye - Montbrison 70-67

A very interesting game took place in Aulnoye. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 9th ranked Montbrison (5-9) to eleventh ranked Aulnoye (5-9) 70-67 in the game for the ninth place. Aulnoye forced 28 Montbrison turnovers and outrebounded them 37-25 including a 14-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Viviane Adjutor (185-93) notched 17 points to lead the effort and forward Maud Medenou (189-90) supported her with 11 points and 9 rebounds. Four Aulnoye players scored in double figures. Even 26 points and 4 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) by Ukrainian power forward Olga Maznichenko (187-91, agency: LBM Management) did not help to save the game for Montbrison. Cameroonian Amina Njonkou (185-88, college: Arizona) added 19 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Aulnoye moved-up to ninth place, which they share with defeated Montbrison. Aulnoye's next round opponent will be league's leader Avenir in Chartres and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
