Regular Season Round 18: Biofarm PZN - SKK Siedlce 93-80

Everything could happen in Poznan at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Biofarm PZN and 10th ranked SKK Siedlce had identical 7-10 record. This time Biofarm PZN used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Siedlce 93-80 on Saturday night. Biofarm PZN dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to SKK Siedlce's 40. They outrebounded SKK Siedlce 43-19 including a 33-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. SKK Siedlce was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for forward Filip Struski (200-94) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard Piotr Wieloch (182-94) contributed with 23 points and 6 rebounds (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!) for the winners. Biofarm PZN's coach Przemyslaw Szurek allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Aaron Weres (197-91) replied with 18 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Marcin Plawucki (177-89, agency: Promotex) added 13 points and 5 assists in the effort for SKK Siedlce. Five Biofarm PZN and four SKK Siedlce players scored in double figures. Biofarm PZN (8-10) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Notec Inowr. Loser SKK Siedlce keeps the tenth position with 11 games lost. Biofarm PZN will face league's second-placed Spojnia in Stargard in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. SKK Siedlce will play at home against Astoria Bydg. (#15) and hope to win that game.
