Regular Season Round 20: Kalisz - Katy Wroclawskie 70-85

There was no surprise when 12th ranked Kalisz (4-13) lost at home to ninth ranked Katy Wroclawskie (8-11) 85-70 on Saturday. Katy Wroclawskie dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Kalisz's 38. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Swingman Slawomir Dzwilewski (193-84) orchestrated the victory by scoring 32 points and 7 rebounds. Center Wojciech Suprun (203-82) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Katy Wroclawskie's coach Adam Omelan used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Swingman Artur Mrowczynski (194-84) replied with 25 points and 6 rebounds and guard Lukasz Wojciechowski (184-88) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Kalisz. Katy Wroclawskie moved-up to eighth place in Group D. Kalisz at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the twelfth position with 13 games lost. Katy Wroclawskie will face Miedzychod (#10) on the road in the next round. Kalisz will play against Gimbasket WRC and hope to win that game.
