Regular Season Round 31: Kumamoto V. - Bambitious Nara 92-85

There was no surprise when 6th ranked Bambitious Nara (9-21) was defeated on the road by first ranked Kumamoto V. (24-6) 92-85 on Saturday. Bambitious Nara trailed by 16 points at halftime and as many as 22 after three quarters before a 40-25 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 85-92 at the end of the game. Kumamoto V. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Bambitious Nara was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Shintaro Kobayashi (184-85) helped adding 19 points. At the losing side guard Atsunobu Hirao (178-89) responded with 20 points and 4 assists and Nigerian forward Andy Ogide (204-87, college: Colorado St., agency: HMS) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Kumamoto V. maintains first place with 24-6 record. Loser Bambitious Nara keeps the sixth position with 21 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
