Regular Season Round 16: BAM Poprad - UKF Nitra 75-58

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked BAM Poprad (7-8) beat at home 7th ranked UKF Nitra (3-12) 75-58 on Saturday. BAM Poprad forced 19 UKF Nitra turnovers. The winners were led by Zuzana Ivancakova (178-93) who scored that evening 17 points and 6 rebounds and Lucia Hadacova (185-95) supported her with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Four BAM Poprad players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks (perfect from downtown making all five shots) by center Laura Dubenova (189-95) did not help to save the game for UKF Nitra. Point guard Nikola Kovacikova (175-99) added 14 points for lost side. BAM Poprad maintains fifth position with 7-8 record. UKF Nitra lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh place with 12 games lost. BAM Poprad will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. UKF Nitra will play against Banska Bystrica (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
