There was a surprise result in Firenze where tenth ranked Bottegone (8-9) outscored higher ranked Fiorentina (9-7) 86-64 on Saturday. Bottegone dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Fiorentina's 36 and made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game, while Fiorentina only scored four points from the stripe. They outrebounded Fiorentina 55-27 including a 44-17 advantage in defensive rebounds.
