Regular Season Round 15: Bashkimi - Sigal Prishtina 63-65

The most interesting game of round 15 in the SuperLeague was only two-point a home defeat of 3rd placed Bashkimi (10-3) to second ranked Sigal Prishtina (11-2) 65-63 in the game for the second place. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 14-8. But Bashkimi won second period 19-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for the former international forward Drilon Hajrizi (203-91) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Croatian power forward Nenad Delic (210-84) helped adding 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Sigal Prishtina's coach Jeronimo Sarin used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American forward Kayel Locke (196-94, college: NC-Greensboro) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and Montenegrin Marko Popovic (200-85) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Four Bashkimi players scored in double figures. Sigal Prishtina have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains second place with 11-2 record having just one point less than leader Peja. Bashkimi at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. Sigal Prishtina are looking forward to face league's leader Peja in Peje in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bashkimi will play on the road against Kerasan in Prishtina and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
