The game in Rethymno was also quite interesting. Sixth ranked Kolossos HH (8-6) played at the court of 7th ranked AGOR (6-8). Kolossos HH managed to secure a 6-point victory 83-77 on Saturday. AGOR was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 28-21 charge of Kolossos HH, which allowed them to win the game. They made 33-of-39 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. Finnish guard Roope Ahonen (186-90, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 17 points to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Trevor Releford (183-91, college: Alabama) chipped in 17 points during the contest. Four Kolossos HH players scored in double figures. American point guard Gary Talton (185-90, college: Ill.-Chicago) responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds and forward Haralampos Giannopoulos (200-89) scored 12 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kolossos HH moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Aris and PAOK. AGOR lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with eight games lost. Kolossos HH will meet at home PAOK (#5) in the next round. AGOR will play against Aris in Thessaloniki and hope to secure a win.
