Regular Season Round 27: Handlova - Iskra Svit 95-84

The game in MBK Handlova was also quite interesting. 6th ranked Iskra Svit (12-13) played at the court of seventh ranked Handlova (12-13). Handlova defeated Iskra Svit 95-84 on Saturday. Handlova shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 56.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for Serbian swingman Nemanja Gudzic (195-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 6 rebounds. The former international power forward Peter Sedmak (207-85, agency: 011 Sports) helped adding 15 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American point guard Evan Singletary (185-94, college: Albany) with 26 points, 5 assists and 5 steals and Croatian forward Sasa Jankovic (204-84) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Handlova moved-up to sixth place, which they share with defeated Iskra Svit. Iskra Svit lost third consecutive game. Handlova will meet Nova Ves (#10) on the road in the next round. Iskra Svit will play against Karlovka (#9) in Bratislava and hope to secure a win.
