Basket Esch did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 82-65 on Saturday. Basket Esch outrebounded Residence 42-19 including a 31-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was forward Bill Clark (196-88, college: Duquesne) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists. Swingman Jermont Horton (198-84, college: Rutgers-Newark) chipped in 30 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Everage Richardson (191-85, college: Co.Carolina) produced 22 points and 5 rebounds and guard Jesse Reed (196, college: American) added 22 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Basket Esch moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Sparta. Residence lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 12 games lost. Basket Esch will meet at home higher ranked T71 (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Residence will play against Arantia in Larochette and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
