Regular Season Round 32: Chiba Jets - SeaHorses 74-68

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Chiba. Third ranked Chiba Jets faced top-ranked Aishin Sea Horses. Host Chiba Jets (20-11) defeated guests from Kariya (22-7) 74-68. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Aishin Sea Horses. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 40-31 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. The game was also dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds. Center Hilton Armstrong (210-84, college: Connecticut) chipped in 4 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Isaac Butts (208-89, college: Appalachian St.) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks and power forward Gavin Edwards (206-88, college: Connecticut) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Chiba Jets and five Aishin Sea Horses players scored in double figures. Chiba Jets maintains third position with 20-11 record having six points less than leader SeaHorses. Loser Aishin Sea Horses still keep top place with seven games lost. Chiba Jets will face again league's leader Aishin Sea Horses in Kariya in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
