Regular Season Round 18: Udominate - Mark 73-51

Undefeated leader Udominate delivered the eighteenth consecutive victory. This time they crushed 5th ranked Mark (8-8) 73-51 in Umea. It looked good early as Mark took a 6-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Udominate had a 28-8 second period charge getting the lead and Mark was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 51-73. Udominate forced 22 Mark turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Mark's players. It was a good game for Lithuanian point guard Santa Okockyte (175-92) who led her team to a victory with 21 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Italian guard Iilaria Zanoni (180-86) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Udominate's coach Tamara Ruzic felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Tiasha Gray (170-94, college: Austin Peay St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and international center Elin Ljunggren (185-96) added 17 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Mark. Udominate (18-0) have an impressive 18-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 18 victories in a row. Mark at the other side keeps the fifth place with eight games lost. Udominate will play against KFUM Ostersund (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Mark will play against Telge and hopes to get back on the winning track.
