An interesting game for Sydney Uni Flames (13-6) which hosted in Sydney 4th placed Perth Lynx (11-7). Second ranked Sydney Uni Flames managed to get a 12-point victory 90-78. Perth Lynx was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Sydney Uni Flames looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for American forward Asia Taylor (188-91, college: Louisville, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory with 32 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international point guard Leilani Mitchell (165-85, college: Utah) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 5 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Power forward Carley Mijovic (196-94, agency: LBM Management) answered with 22 points and 7 rebounds and Canadian center Ruth Hamblin (198-94, college: Oregon St., agency: LBM Management) added 14 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Perth Lynx. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sydney Uni Flames have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 13-6 record having just one point less than leader Dandenong. Perth Lynx at the other side dropped to the third position with seven games lost. Sydney Uni Flames are looking forward to face Townsville Fire (#4) on the road in the next round. Perth Lynx will play against the league's leader Dandenong Rangers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
