Regular Season Round 14: Arras - Toulouse 71-66

There was no surprise when 8th ranked Toulouse (6-8) was defeated on the road by third ranked Arras (10-4) 71-66 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Toulouse trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 22-11 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 66-71 at the end of the game. Arras forced 21 Toulouse turnovers. The best player for the winners was American guard D'lesha Lloyd (179-86, college: Clemson) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Aminata Konate (169-90) chipped in 16 points. Four Arras players scored in double figures. American guard Sydney Wallace (173-93, college: Georgia Tech, agency: LBM Management) produced 26 points and 9 rebounds and center Alice Nayo (186-93) added 21 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Arras have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 10-4 record having just three points less than leader Avenir. Toulouse lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with eight games lost. Arras will face SIG (#7) in llkirch-Graff. in the next round. Toulouse will play at home against CFBB and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the LFB just one year after relegation.
