The game between closely ranked teams ended with 13th ranked Rieti's (6-12) home loss to twelfth ranked FCM Ferentino (8-10) 84-86 on Sunday. It was a good game for American swingman Benjamin Raymond (198-87, college: Xavier) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). The former international power forward Angelo Gigli (209-83) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American forward DeShawn Sims (203-88, college: Michigan) replied with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import Dalton Pepper (196-90, college: Temple) added 22 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Rieti. Five FCM Ferentino and four Rieti players scored in double figures. Rieti's coach Luciano Nunzi rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. FCM Ferentino moved-up to eleventh place in A2. Loser Rieti keeps the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. FCM Ferentino will face higher ranked Treviglio (#9) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Rieti will play against Scafati (#16) and hope to win that game.
