Second Stage Round 4: BrGU - Victoria 53-79

Date: January 22, 2017
Bottom-ranked BrGU COR Victoria (0-16) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 16th consecutive match to fifth ranked Victoria (6-10) 79-53 on Sunday evening. 25 personal fouls committed by BrGU COR Victoria helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Yuliya Vasilevich (165-1) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 rebounds and forward Yana Haliakova (184-1) who added 18 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Victoria players scored in double figures. At the losing side Diana Tolochko (177-96) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and forward Anastasia Babak (177-2) scored 7 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Victoria maintains fifth position with 6-10 record. BrGU COR Victoria at the other side still closes the standings. They are looking forward to face Gorizont II (#6) in Minsk in the next round. BrGU COR Victoria will play at home against Polotsk and hopes to get finally their first victory.
