Regular Season Round 11: Terpsithea - Panathinaikos 35-100

The game between 12th ranked Terpsithea (1-10) and second ranked Panathinaikos (9-2) in Glyfadas on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Athens outscored Terpsithea 100-35. Panathinaikos held Terpsithea to an opponent 21.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 53.7 percent accuracy of the winners. Panathinaikos forced 26 Terpsithea turnovers and outrebounded them 49-22 including a 33-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Panathinaikos' coach felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Center Danielle Spiliotis (185-90, college: Cedarville) came up with 16 points and 6 rebounds and forward Fani Tzarou (178-95) added 11 points respectively for Terpsithea in the defeat. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Panathinaikos. They maintain second place with 9-2 record having just two points less than leader Olympiacos. Terpsithea lost their ninth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Panathinaikos will meet Proteas (#5) in the next round. Terpsithea will play against Panionios (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
