The most exciting game of round 17 in the Serie B took place in Valsesia. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 3rd placed Valsesia (10-7) to second ranked Moncalieri (12-4) 73-70 in the game for the second place. Moncalieri made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Valsesia helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Moncalieri are looking forward to face Cecina (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Valsesia will play against USE Basket (#6) in Empoli and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
