Very predictable result when third ranked Palestrina (15-3) defeated on the road 15th ranked Viterbo SA (3-14) 85-74 on Sunday. Palestrina looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Forward Riccardo Pederzini (198-89) stepped up and scored 23 points and 6 assists for the winners and forward Mathias Drigo (202-89, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 18 points and 13 rebounds. Four Palestrina players scored in double figures. Palestrina's coach Gianluca Lulli used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Riccardo Rovere (196-94) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and naturalized Polish power forward Sandro Listwon (204-93) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Palestrina maintains third place in B with 15-3 record having just one victory less than leader Omegna. Loser Viterbo SA keeps the fifteenth position with 14 games lost. Palestrina will face Maddaloni (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Viterbo SA will play against the league's leader Napoli Cuore and hope to win that game.
