Regular Season Round 10: Tokyo HT - Tokyo Cinq R. 87-61

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tokyo: Tokyo HT (#4) and Tokyo Cinq R. (#5). Tokyo HT (11-7) smashed visiting Tokyo Cinq R. (8-10) by 26 points 87-61. The game without a history. Tokyo HT led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American forward Brian Harper (208-85, college: Paine) had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import power forward Edward Morris (205-84, college: Pittsburg St.) chipped in 11 points and 6 assists during the contest. Five Tokyo HT players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward R.J. Slawson (206-92, college: Jacksonville) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds and power forward Akihito Inoue (201-84) scored 9 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tokyo HT maintains fourth position with 11-7 record. Tokyo Cinq R. lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with ten games lost. Tokyo HT's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tokyo to the arena Tokyo Big Blue.
