Regular Season Round 17: Centrum - Nidaros Jets 105-75

The game in Oslo supposed to be also quite interesting. 5th ranked Nidaros Jets (10-10) played at the court of seventh ranked Centrum (10-10). Centrum smashed Nidaros Jets 105-75 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Centrum. Nidaros Jets managed to win third quarter 29-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Centrum dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Nidaros Jets' 40. Centrum had a 26-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Centrum especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Nidaros Jets' players. The former international forward Miilah Kombat (198-88, college: N.Idaho JC) nailed 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Magnus Midtvedt (182-90) accounted for 15 points and 4 assists. Four Centrum players scored in double figures. Centrum's coach Inge Kristiansen felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Jakob Baiden (194-93) came up with 14 points and 9 rebounds and Christian Dischington (188-99) added 14 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) respectively for Nidaros Jets in the defeat. Defending champion moved-up to sixth place, which they share with defeated Nidaros Jets. Nidaros Jets lost their sixth game in a row. Centrum will meet at home higher ranked Asker Aliens (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nidaros Jets will play against Asker Aliens and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
