Regular Season Round 10: Tokyo Big Blue - Aisin AW 57-79

Rather expected game when 9th ranked Tokyo Big Blue (1-17) was crushed at home by sixth ranked Aisin AW (9-9) 79-57 on Sunday. The game without a history. Aisin AW led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Tokyo Big Blue's 36. They outrebounded Tokyo Big Blue 50-31 including a 23-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Center Eve Nyokozera (199-93) had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Kyouhei Kumazawa (180-88) chipped in 15 points during the contest. At the losing side point guard Yoshikawa Osamuakira (182-92) responded with 17 points and 4 assists and swingman Ryo Kuroki (192-93) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Aisin AW moved-up to fifth place. Tokyo Big Blue lost twelfth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 17 lost games. Aisin AW will face Tokyo Cinq R. (#6) on the road in the next round. Tokyo Big Blue's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tokyo Tokyo HT.
