Regular Season Round 15: Korikouvot - TuNMKY 88-90

Important game to mention about took place in Kouvola. First ranked TuNMKY (12-3) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 3rd placed Korikouvot (11-5) 90-88 on Sunday evening. Korikouvot was ahead by 5 points at the halftime before a 29-16 third quarter run of TuNMKY. It was a great evening for center Mikael Sandberg (210-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds. Guard Eero Innamaa (186-98) helped adding 21 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Henri Kantonen (197-97) with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Danish center Nicolai Andersen (203-96) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Four TuNMKY and five Korikouvot players scored in double figures. TuNMKY maintains first place in Division with 12-3 record. Korikouvot at the other side dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. TuNMKY will play against PeU-Basket (#10) in Pernio in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Korikouvot will play at home against PuHu Juniorit (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
