Regular Season Round 20: AZS PGd - Pelplin 66-76

An interesting game for Pelplin (16-1) which played road game in Gdansk against second-ranked AZS PGd (12-6). First ranked Pelplin managed to get a 10-point victory 76-66. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of AZS PGd. Pelplin looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by Karol Debski (198-84, agency: Promotex) who scored that evening 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Marcin Chudy (187-86) supported him with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Pelplin players scored in double figures. Even 15 points by Lukasz Jaskiewicz (202-92) did not help to save the game for AZS PGd. Forward Szymon Janiewski (198-87) added 13 points for the hosts. AZS PGd's coach Marek Iglinski let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Pelplin have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A with 16-1 record. Loser AZS PGd keeps the second place with six games lost. They share the position with Domino Inowr.. Pelplin will meet at home Asseco II (#4) in the next round. AZS PGd will play against SMS PZKosz and hope to secure a win.
