Regular Season Round 17: Catanzaro - Patti 67-62

Rather expected game when 12th ranked Patti (6-11) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Catanzaro (7-9) 67-62 on Sunday. Guard Nicolas Morici (193-94) stepped up and scored 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and guard Gianluca Carpanzano (188-95, agency: Players Group) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. Four Catanzaro players scored in double figures. Forward Luca Bolletta (198-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and guard Tindaro Gullo (175-86) scored 20 points. Catanzaro moved-up to ninth place in B. Newly promoted Patti dropped to the tenth position with 11 games lost. Catanzaro will face higher ranked Scauri (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Patti will play against Teramo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
