Very predictable result when second ranked Bisceglie (13-4) smashed at home 13th ranked Isernia (5-11) 96-53 on Sunday. Bisceglie well out of reach of Isernia shooting 74.5 percent from the field. They outrebounded Isernia 28-8 including a 24-7 advantage in defensive rebounds. Bisceglie shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 73.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Isernia's players. Riccardo Antonelli stepped up and scored 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners and forward Gianmarco Leggio (203-94) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Five Bisceglie players scored in double figures. Guard Mattia Melchiorri (193-97) responded with 17 points and point guard Mattia Norcino (185-93) scored 15 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bisceglie maintains second place in B with 13-4 record behind leader Omegna. Loser Isernia keeps the thirteenth position with 11 games lost. Bisceglie will face Taranto (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Isernia will play against the league's leader Montegrano and hope to win that game.
