Regular Season Round 30: Guangsha L. - Zhejiang GB 126-111

There was no surprise in Hangzhou where 15th ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (9-21) was defeated by fifth ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (23-7) 126-111 on Sunday. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions dominated down low during the game scoring 96 of its points in the paint compared to Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank's 66. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank's players. American power forward Elijah Holman (208-89, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 25 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard Courtney Fortson (180-88, college: Arkansas, agency: Three Eye Sports) chipped in 22 points and 11 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American guard Lorenzo Brown (196-90, college: N.Carolina St.) with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists and international guard Qian Wu (190-94) scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Zhejiang Guangsha Lions and four Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Guangdong ST and Liaoning H. Loser Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank keeps the fifteenth position with 21 games lost. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions will face Jiangsu TX (#18) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank will play against Shanxi Zhongyu and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
