Regular Season Round 15: RC Celta - Sant Adria 61-64

Tenth-ranked Real Celta Vigo (6-9) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked Sant Adria (12-3). The visitors from Sant Adria de Besos managed to secure only three-point victory 64-61. However their fans expected much easier game. Sant Adria forced 26 Real Celta Vigo turnovers. It was a great evening for Laura Pena who led her team to a victory scoring 18 points. Center Olga Ruano (191-88) helped adding 12 points. Sant Adria's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American-Nigerian forward Cecilia Okoye (185-91, college: McNeese St.) with 24 points and 8 rebounds and Nigerian guard Adaeze Alaeze-Dinma (178, college: VCU) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Sant Adria maintains second place in Group A with 12-3 record behind leader Alcobendas. Real Celta Vigo at the other side dropped to the ninth position with nine games lost. They share it with Ensino. Sant Adria will play against Cortegada (#4) in Vilagarcia Arousa in the next round. Real Celta Vigo will play on the road against Oviedo (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
