Regular Season Round 15: Flammes - Landes 87-82

An interesting game for Flammes (12-3) which hosted in Charleville 3rd placed Basket Landes (10-4). First ranked Flammes managed to get a 5-point victory 87-82. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Basket Landes. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Basket Landes won fourth quarter 23-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Flammes made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. 27 personal fouls committed by Basket Landes helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for international guard Amel Bouderra (160-89) who led her team to a victory with 32 points and 8 assists. Ukrainian center Valeriya Berezhynska (193-86, college: Rice, agency: Josep and Nicolas) contributed with 16 points for the winners. International Celine Dumerc (169-82) answered with 17 points and 9 assists and American center Cierra Bravard (193-89, college: Florida St., agency: Josep and Nicolas) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Basket Landes. Four Basket Landes players scored in double figures. Flammes have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 12-3 record. Basket Landes at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. Flammes are looking forward to face Villeneuve D'Ascq (#5) on the road in the next round. Basket Landes will play against Angers and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
