Regular Season Round 12: Gimle Pride - Hoybraten 50-47

The most exciting game of round 12 in the Kvinneligaen took place in Bergen. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers Hoybraten (3-9) to fifth ranked Gimle Pride (4-8) 50-47 in the game for the fourth place. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Hoybraten won third quarter 11-5. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gimle Pride forced 22 Hoybraten turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Josefin Winther (180-86) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and guard Karoline Falch-Monsen (169-98) who added 9 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Gimle Pride's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was forward Sigrid Davidsen (185-95) with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and Kosovan guard Flaka Kelmendi (165-98) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. Gimle Pride moved-up to fourth place. Hoybraten lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with nine games lost. Gimle Pride will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hoybraten's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Oslo Ullern.
