Regular Season Round 15: Jyvaskyla BA - Pyrinto II 76-49

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Jyvaskyla BA (9-7) crushed at home 10th ranked Pyrinto II (4-13) 76-49 on Monday. The game without a history. Jyvaskyla BA led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Jyvaskyla BA outrebounded Pyrinto II 50-38 including a 37-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Pyrinto II was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for point guard Robert Juvonen (185-91) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 4 assists. Swingman Timi Puittinen (193-94) contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Jyvaskyla BA's coach Juuso Konttinen felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Lassi Kilpinen (185-93) answered with 8 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Joonas Pentti (190-96) added 6 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Pyrinto II. Jyvaskyla BA moved-up to fourth place in Division. Loser Pyrinto II keeps the tenth position with 13 games lost. Jyvaskyla BA will face league's second-placed Espoo United on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pyrinto II will play against the league's leader Lahti (#1) and hope to win that game.
