Second Stage Round 3: Kazygurt - Almat.Legion 75-88

The game between closely ranked teams ended with Kazygurt's (2-10) home loss to Almat.Legion (5-7) 75-88 on Monday. Almat.Legion made 25-of-32 free shots (78.1 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Kazygurt turnovers. Kazygurt was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was international guard Yuriy Kozhanov (190-90) who had a triple-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Swingman Ruslan Aitkali (195-97) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Viktor Sotov (173-78) who recorded 12 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Balabiy Agabek (193-96) added 15 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Almat.Legion will face Tobol in Kostanay in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kazygurt will play on the road against Kapshagay and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
