Regular Season Round 13: Bnot Hertzeliya - Maccabi R.Gan 69-80

The game between Top Four teams took place in Hertzeliya. 3rd placed host Bnot Hertzeliya (8-4) lost to second ranked Maccabi Ramat Gan (10-2) 80-69. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Bnot Hertzeliya. Maccabi Ramat Gan made 25-of-30 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game, while Bnot Hertzeliya only scored nine points from the stripe. American point guard Chelsea Hopkins (173-90, college: San Diego St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 13 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals for the winners and her fellow American import center Danielle Adams (185-89, college: Texas A&M) chipped in 19 points and 12 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Keisha Hampton (187-90, college: De Paul, agency: LBM Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds and the former international forward Liad Suez-Karni (187-81, college: Villanova) scored 9 points and 7 assists. Maccabi Ramat Gan maintains second place with 10-2 record having just one point less than leader Maccabi Ashdod. Bnot Hertzeliya at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. Maccabi Ramat Gan are looking forward to face league's leader Maccabi Ashdod at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bnot Hertzeliya will play against Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
