Regular Season Round 14: Valga - Tartu Ulikool 56-82

Leader TU/Rock delivered the twelfth victory on Tuesday night. This time they crushed 6th ranked Valga (5-11) 82-56. The game was mostly controlled by TU/Rock. Valga managed to win fourth quarter 17-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. TU/Rock dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Valga's 24. Australian forward Venky Jois (202-93, college: E.Washington) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Lithuanian center Dominykas Milka (203-92, college: St.Rose, NY) chipped in 9 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. TU/Rock's coach Gert Kullamae felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Naturalized American forward Renato Lindments (202-84, college: Westfield St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and Latvian guard Kristaps Kanbergs (189-88) scored 10 points. TU/Rock have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 12-2 record. Valga lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with 11 games lost. TU/Rock will meet at home TTU (#5) in the next round. Valga will play against TTU in Tallinn and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
