Second Stage Round 3: Kapshagay - Almat.Legion 76-90

Kapshagay (8-4) recorded a loss at the home court on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by Almat.Legion (5-7) 90-76. Almat.Legion dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Kapshagay's 34 and made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Almat.Legion forced 25 Kapshagay turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a great evening for the former international center Vsevolod Fadeikin (206-85) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 8 rebounds. International guard Yuriy Kozhanov (190-90) helped adding 22 points and 7 assists. Four Almat.Legion players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international swingman Konstantin Dvirniy (192-88) with 17 points and 5 assists and point guard Daniil Seleznev (186-90) scored 15 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Almat.Legion will meet Tobol in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kapshagay will play against Kazygurt and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
