Al Khor's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after ten consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Doha, where they defeated Al Sadd (3-8) 68-62 on Tuesday. Al Sadd trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 13-8 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 62-68 at the end of the game. It was a good game for American Rickey Young (205-90, college: W.Virginia Tech) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds. The other American import point guard Dairese Gary (185-88, college: N.Mexico) contributed with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Senegalese center Oumar Seck (208-88) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 20 rebounds and 4 blocks and American forward AJ West (206-91, college: Nevada) added 12 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Al Sadd. Al Khor maintains tenth position with 1-10 record. It was Al Sadd's fourth loss in a row. They keep the eighth place with eight games lost. Al Khor will face higher ranked Al Rayyan (#4) in Doha in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
