A very interesting game took place in Ramat Hasharon. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 13th ranked Hasharon (3-13) to twelfth ranked Galil Elion (6-10) 110-108 in the fight for the twelfth place. Galil Elion made 26-of-29 charity shots (89.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 24 Hasharon turnovers and outrebounded them 119-91 including a 43-32 advantage in offensive rebounds. Galil Elion players were unselfish on offense dishing 47 assists. 52 personal fouls committed by Hasharon helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by American forward Cinmeon Bowers (201-93, college: Auburn) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and the other American import power forward Germain Jordan (198-86, college: Dillard) supported him with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Even 28 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) by American Brian Asbury (201-86, college: Miami, FL) did not help to save the game for Hasharon. Naturalized Swiss point guard Jonathan Shtarkman (188-91) added 31 points and 5 assists for lost side. Five Galil Elion and four Hasharon players scored in double figures. Galil Elion maintains twelfth position with 6-10 record. Hasharon lost eleventh consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 13 games lost. Galil Elion's next round opponent will be higher ranked Ironi Kiryat Ata (#9) at home and it may be quite challenging game. Hasharon will play against Ironi Nes-Ziona (#5) in Nes Ziyona and hope to win that game.
