The game in San Luis Potosi was also worth to mention about. 7th ranked Barreteros (11-17) played at the court of eighth ranked Santos (12-19). Santos managed to secure a 9-point victory 99-90. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Barreteros. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 23-19. But Barreteros won second period 24-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Santos brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. It was a good game for American forward B.J. West (211-89, college: Jackson St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 17 rebounds. The former international forward Jesus Gonzalez (195-86) contributed with 28 points and 6 rebounds for the winners.
