Regular Season Round 15: Koroivos - Kymis 94-64

There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Koroivos (5-10) crushed at home higher ranked Kymis (5-10) 94-64. The game was mostly controlled by Koroivos. Kymis was better in fourth quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Koroivos dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Kymis' 38 and made 16-of-18 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Kymis 38-26 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American power forward Kenny Hall (206-90, college: Tennessee) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import Toddrick Gotcher (193-93, college: Texas Tech) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Koroivos players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was center Stavros Toutziarakis (210-87, agency: Octagon Europe) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and British point guard Ogooluwa Adegboye (182-87, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: Octagon Europe) added 14 points respectively. Kymis' coach Vassilis Bratsiakos gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Koroivos moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Kymis. Kymis lost fourth consecutive game. Koroivos' next round opponent will be league's second-placed Panathinaikos in Athens and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
