Important game to mention about took place in Alicante. Fifth ranked Meridiano Baza (7-7) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 4th placed Unicaja B (6-7) 52-50 on Saturday evening. Meridiano Baza forced 19 Unicaja B turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Luis Lopez (198-93) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Center Javier Mesa (206-77) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. Meridiano Baza's coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Pablo Fernandez produced 13 points and guard Luis Garcia (188-99) added 4 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Meridiano Baza moved-up to fourth place in Group D-A, which they share with Cazorla. Unicaja B at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost.
