Regular Season Round 18: Tromso - Persbraten 81-62

Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Tromso (8-13) smashed at home bottom-ranked Persbraten (1-19) 81-62 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Tromso. Persbraten was better in third quarter 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Persbraten 40-27 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Guard Hani Issalhi (191-84) had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Anders Solem (196-92) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Tromso players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Swedish guard Aron Furstenberg (192-88) with 15 points and 8 rebounds and forward Christian Bakken (198-88) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Tromso have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain eighth position with 8-13 record. Persbraten lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 19 lost games. Tromso will face league's leader Kongsberg at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Persbraten will play against Froya Basket (#3) and hope to win that game.
